Through the Looking Glass

I'm used to seeing
black and white
It never bothered me much
that I never knew,
any other color than that.
But then you came
and made me see,
that there's more to life
than I've seen.
You gave me this
rose tinted looking glass
and the colors I never
knew finally made
themselves known.
But then winter came
and the rose tinted glass
began to frost
and with a gust of the wind
it shattered the glass
into a thousand bits and pieces
And every color I saw
turned back into
the black and white world
that I once knew.
