in the dark recesses of this frozen lake,
without feeling the need to break
the surface of the water for air.
The dark and the cold was enough to comfort me,
or so I thought.
Until I felt a pair of hands clutching me,
slowly making its way towards my back
while the other firmly holds onto my neck,
pulling my head closer
to those warm lips awaiting mine.
Then a sudden breath of air fills
my lungs and for the first
time in my life, I learned how it felt
to be alive. To want to be truly alive.
Let me know if I'm doing this right
Let me know if my grip's too tight
Let me know if I can stay all of my life
Let me know if dreams can come true
Let me know if this one's yours too
'Cause I see it, and I feel it right here.
And I feel you right here.
