I was once afraid to wander off

to the middle of the deep ocean.

Too scared to be lured towards

the horizon by the setting sun.

I was afraid that the sea might swallow 

me and my bobbing raft whole.

But it wasn't until when you wheedled

me into letting my anchors aweigh

that I truly understood what it means 

to fully surrender yourself to someone.

It is indeed frightening for me

to wander off to your depths,

but it's also in the sea of you

that I found myself afloat.
