All wounds heal over time, or so they say.
Some may take longer than the others.
Some may heal completely, while some leave their marks.
But there is that kind of wound that no matter long
you wait for it to completely heal, it never does.
Why?
Because once it dries up and the scabs form,
you couldn't help but feel the itch
to pick it off every single time.
It's like there's this perverted need
to feel the pain once more just to assure yourself
that the pain you felt then was real
and you weren't making it up when you said,
"God, it hurts a lot."
