Fireworks lit up the sky

as if to light our path

for the year ahead.

To the year that's closing,

I fare thee well.

Thank you for the memories

and the lessons I've learned

within your reign.

To all the joys and the sorrows

you brought, I'd keep them

as a reminder of what was me

and what they've made me become.
