This was a lesson
I've learned early in life.
To take each promises
with a grain of salt
could save you from
heartache caused
by empty promises.
Some may see it
as cowardice,
but for someone
who has witnessed
too many heartaches,
it's only called
surviving.
so promise me only one thing would you
just don't ever make me promises
