your mind was muddled
by your troublesome past
and foregone sorrow.
now you spend your time
listening to voices
you hear inside your head.
everyday i try to reach you
with our simple greetings
and silly banters.
until one day i asked you
to just say a little prayer for me.
it caught me off guard
when you bowed your head
and with a clear voice,
you offered your sincerest prayer for me.

all i could think about was that
